About Alert And Music Broadcast

Evacuation signage and public address systems

Evacuation signs carry an EXIT legend and, where needed, arrows. They stay permanently lit in green and show which way to go during an evacuation, by the shortest route out of the building.

When the alarm sounds, a voice alarm system must also start up, calling people to leave the building by specific escape routes and under specific rules. The public address system may also have a microphone, through which a building supervisor or a member of the security team gives people precise instructions for leaving safely.
